APSEZ Cargo Volume Up 16% YoY to 48.3 MMT in May

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) reported a robust operational performance for May 2026, handling a total cargo volume of 48.3 million metric tons (MMT), marking a significant 16% year-on-year growth. This growth was primarily driven by strong performance in the liquids segment, which saw a 33% YoY increase, and the containers segment, up 17% YoY. For the year-to-date period ending May 2026, APSEZ has handled 91.4 MMT of cargo, representing a 15% YoY increase, with containers also leading the growth at 17% YoY. However, logistics rail volume experienced a decline, standing at 48,170 TEUs in May 2026 (-19% YoY) and 96,660 TEUs year-to-date (-18% YoY).
