Afcons Wins ₹5,301 Cr Vadhvan Port Breakwater Project

Afcons Infrastructure Ltd has been awarded a significant contract valued at Rs 5,301 Crores (excluding GST) for the construction of a 10.14 km-long breakwater for the Vadhvan Port in Maharashtra. This project, awarded by Vadhvan Port Project Limited (VPPL), is set to become the second-longest breakwater globally upon completion. Afcons highlighted its extensive experience in complex marine infrastructure projects, noting this award as a key step in India's ambition to become a global maritime hub. The Vadhvan Port is envisioned to be India's largest public port and one of the world's biggest container ports, with a projected handling capacity of 23.2 million TEUs.
