Hindustan Zinc Signs MoU with TERI for 250-Hectare Restoration

Hindustan Zinc Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) to undertake a significant 250-hectare ecological restoration project in Rajasthan. This initiative, to be developed at the Chanderiya Lead Zinc Smelter Complex, aims to transform industrial land into a self-sustaining natural ecosystem, enhancing biodiversity and climate resilience. It builds upon a previous successful restoration of 22.25 hectares at the same site. The project aligns with Hindustan Zinc's Sustainability Goal 2030 and its broader ESG roadmap, emphasizing land restoration and biodiversity conservation. This collaboration is positioned as a major step towards achieving a Net Positive Impact and creating regenerative landscapes within industrial premises.
