JSW Infra Wins Kolkata Port Container Terminal Project

JSW Infrastructure Ltd has secured a Letter of Award (LOA) from Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority, Kolkata, for the integrated development of container berths at Netaji Subhash Dock. The project, awarded on a Design Build Finance Operate Transfer (DBFOT) basis under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode, involves developing new container handling berths and taking over existing ones. This initiative aims to significantly enhance container handling capacity to 0.93 million TEUs (13 million tonnes per annum) and improve operational efficiency. The concession period is 30 years. This marks JSW Infra's second major win at SMPA within a year, reinforcing its strategic presence on the East Coast.
