NLC India & NPCIL Ink MoU for Nuclear Power Projects via JV

NLC India Ltd and Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to form a Joint Venture (JV) for establishing nuclear power projects in India. The collaboration aims to develop 700 MW Indigenous Pressurised Heavy Water Reactor (PHWR) based Nuclear Power Projects, or other suitable power reactors. It also includes investment opportunities in NPCIL's existing and upcoming 700 MW PHWR projects through the JV. This initiative supports India's goal of achieving 100 GW Nuclear Power Capacity by 2047 and aligns with the SHANTI Bill enacted in December 2025.
