AMTD Subsidiary Acquires Ritz-Carlton Perth for $72M & Malaysia Hotel for $38M

AMTD IDEA Group announced that its subsidiary, The Generation Essentials Group (TGE), successfully completed two significant acquisitions, expanding its global hospitality portfolio. TGE acquired a 50% interest in The Ritz-Carlton, Perth, Australia, for US$72 million, with the property valued at US$201 million. Additionally, TGE completed the acquisition of super majority interests in the Upper View Regalia Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for US$38 million. These transactions reinforce AMTD's long-term commitment to the global hospitality sector, bringing its total hospitality portfolio to nearly 1,000 rooms.
