Analog Devices to Acquire Empower Semiconductor for $1.5B

Analog Devices, Inc. announced a definitive agreement to acquire Empower Semiconductor, a provider of integrated voltage regulators and power management solutions, for $1.5 billion in an all-cash transaction. This acquisition aims to expand ADI's high-density power portfolio for the AI era, addressing critical challenges in delivering energy-efficient compute and enhancing its position as a power partner for hyperscalers and AI silicon developers. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of calendar year 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. Empower's CEO will continue to lead IVR technology efforts as part of ADI.
