Capital Clean Energy Carriers forms JV for $82.8M LNG bunkering vessel

Capital Clean Energy Carriers Corp. announced the formation of a 50/50 joint venture with CMA CGM S.A. to construct, charter, and operate a 20,000 cbm dual-fuel LNG bunkering vessel. The Joint Venture has entered into a shipbuilding contract for $82.8 million, with delivery expected in the third quarter of 2028. This strategic move marks CCEC’s entry into the LNG bunkering segment and is expected to generate a new, long-term contracted revenue stream through a 12-year time charter with a joint venture formed by CMA CGM S.A. and TotalEnergies S.A.
