Grupo Cibest Completes Sale of Banistmo S.A.

Grupo Cibest S.A. announced the completion of the sale of its subsidiary, Banistmo S.A., which was initially announced on December 18, 2025. Grupo Cibest transferred 100% of Banistmo's shares to Banco La Hipotecaria S.A., a subsidiary of Inversiones Cuscatlán Centroamérica S.A. The transaction was paid using funds from La Hipotecaria and an international syndicated loan, making Banistmo wholly owned by the Inversiones Cuscatlán group. Grupo Cibest confirmed no agreements were made with Inversiones Cuscatlán regarding corporate governance.
