Landstar Appoints William Clement as Chief Commercial Officer

Landstar System, Inc. announced the appointment of William Clement as Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, effective August 1, 2026. Mr. Clement will be responsible for leading the company's commercial strategy, supporting its independent agent network, and enhancing customer relationships. He brings over 30 years of experience in transportation and logistics. In connection with this appointment, Jim Applegate will transition to Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer, and Matthew Dannegger will move to a Special Advisor role before his departure on March 1, 2027. These leadership changes are intended to support Landstar's long-term growth strategy.
