MDT Reports Cybersecurity Incident; No Material Impact Expected

Medtronic plc announced that an unauthorized third party accessed data in some of its information technology systems. The company promptly contained the incident, activated its response protocols, and engaged leading external cybersecurity experts. Based on its investigation to date, Medtronic has not identified any impact to its products, patient safety, connections to customers, manufacturing and distribution operations, or financial reporting systems. The company does not currently expect the incident to have a material impact on its business or financial results.
