MPWR Wins Patent Infringement Lawsuit; Bel Power to Pay $50K Costs

Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) announced the resolution of a patent infringement lawsuit filed by Bel Power Solutions in its favor. The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas granted MPS's motion for summary judgment of non-infringement on all six asserted patent claims. Additionally, MPS's ex parte reexamination proceedings at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office resulted in the cancellation of four of Bel Power's patents. Bel Power agreed to pay MPS's court costs of $50,000 as part of the resolution.
