NHC to Acquire 35 Facilities from NHI for $560 Million

National HealthCare Corporation (NHC), through its wholly-owned subsidiary NHC/OP, L.P., has entered into a Purchase and Sale Agreement to acquire 35 facilities from National Health Investors, Inc. (NHI). The acquisition includes 32 skilled nursing facilities and three independent living facilities, currently leased by NHC, for a purchase price of $560 million. NHC expects to finance the purchase in part through a new credit facility, with a $5 million non-refundable deposit due within five business days.
