Precision BioSciences Announces Positive PBGENE-HBV Clinical Data
Precision BioSciences announced new and late-breaking clinical data from its Phase 1 ELIMINATE-B trial for PBGENE-HBV in chronic hepatitis B, presented at the EASL Congress 2026. The data showed PBGENE-HBV directly eliminated cccDNA, leading to a 1-log reduction in cccDNA-derived transcripts and permanent inactivation of viral replication. It also achieved pgRNA loss in 100% of patients with detectable pgRNA at baseline and demonstrated a manageable safety profile across multiple dosing cohorts.
