Rocket Lab Secures 3 NASA Electron Launches for PolSIR & TSIS-2 Missions

Rocket Lab Corporation announced it has been selected by NASA to provide three Electron launches for two separate missions, PolSIR and TSIS-2. Two launches for the PolSIR mission are scheduled from June 2027, and one for the TSIS-2 mission in early 2027, all from Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand. Rocket Lab's extensive flight heritage, proven deployment accuracy, and ability to meet tight turnaround schedules were key factors in its selection. The PolSIR mission will study ice clouds, while TSIS-2 will focus on Sun-Earth energy science.
