Talen Energy Corporation has successfully completed its acquisition of three power generation facilities: the Lawrenceburg Power Plant in Indiana, and the Waterford Energy Center and Darby Generating Station in Ohio, from Energy Capital Partners (ECP). The total transaction value was $3.45 billion, comprising $2.55 billion in cash and approximately 2.4 million shares of Talen common stock. This strategic move is expected to immediately increase Talen's cash flow per share by over 15% and expand its presence in the western PJM market. Concurrently, Talen's subsidiary, Talen Energy Supply, LLC (TES), amended its credit agreement, increasing its revolving credit facility to $1.35 billion and its letter of credit facility to $1.5 billion, while extending the latter's maturity to December 2029. The acquisition received all necessary regulatory approvals.
