Tyson Foods Restructures Beef Operations, Closes 2 Facilities

Tyson Foods announced a strategic restructuring of its beef operations, including ending operations at its Joslin, Illinois beef facility and its Eagle Mountain, Utah case-ready facility. The company is also pursuing the sale of its Pasco, Washington beef facility. These changes are intended to create a more efficient and modern network, with capacity from closed locations moving to strategically located facilities, and a second shift being added at the Amarillo, Texas facility as cattle become available. The restructuring is a response to historic cattle shortages and aims to strengthen long-term performance.
