Veraxa Biotech announced the initiation of cell line development for its lead BiTAC® T-cell engager (BiTAC-TCE) program. The company has partnered with ATUM, a leader in bioengineering, to utilize their proprietary Leap-In Transposase® technology for stable clonal cell line generation. This collaboration is a crucial step in advancing Veraxa's most advanced T-cell engager candidate towards IND/CTA-enabling activities and future clinical development, building on encouraging preclinical data presented at AACR. The BiTAC-TCE approach aims for greater tumor selectivity and a wider therapeutic window by requiring dual-target engagement for T-cell activation.
