WeRide Partners for Right-Hand-Drive Robotaxis, Targets Global Expansion

WeRide announced a strategic partnership with Geely Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group and Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings Limited to jointly develop and deploy Robotaxis specifically designed for right-hand-drive markets. The collaboration will leverage WeRide's autonomous driving technology, Geely Farizon's vehicle manufacturing, and Kwoon Chung's public transport operations. Commercial services for the purpose-built Robotaxis will commence in Hong Kong, with plans for global expansion into other right-hand-drive regions. This move aims to establish WeRide's dual capabilities in both right- and left-hand-drive operations, accelerating the commercialization of autonomous driving worldwide.
