Oil India and CSIR-IMMT Sign MoU for Joint Research in Critical Minerals

Oil India Limited (OIL), a Maharatna PSU, and CSIR - Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (IMMT) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 30th March 2026. IMMT has been identified as the Centre of Excellence for Critical Minerals under the National Critical Mineral Mission (NCMM). The MoU aims to pursue joint Research & Development (R&D) projects in the field of critical minerals. The signing was done by the Director (Exploration & Development), OIL, and Director, CSIR-IMMT, in the presence of the CMD, OIL, and attended by Functional Directors, Senior officials of OIL, and Senior Scientists of CSIR-IMMT. The MoU will facilitate R&D activities in the Critical Mineral domain as outlined in NCMM.
