Mahanagar Gas Appoints Praveer Srivastava as New MD for 5-Year Term
Mahanagar Gas Ltd (MGL) announced the appointment of Mr. Praveer Kumar Srivastava as its new Managing Director. The Board of Directors approved his appointment for a five-year term, effective from April 30, 2026, to April 29, 2031, subject to shareholder approval. Mr. Srivastava, a Chemical Engineer from IIT Kharagpur, brings over three decades of experience from GAIL (India) Limited, where he held various leadership roles in operations, project execution, planning, strategy, and business development. His contributions include significant work on Green Hydrogen, Hydrogen Blending, and Small-Scale LNG projects. Concurrently, Mr. Ashu Shinghal will cease to be the Managing Director of the Company from April 30, 2026, following GAIL's nomination withdrawal.
