Fire Incident at Sundaram Brake Linings Plant II Causes ₹2.66 Crores Damage

Sundaram Brake Linings Ltd. has reported a fire incident at their Plant II situated in Kariapatti, Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu. The fire occurred on Thursday, 02nd April 2026, at around 05:25 A.M. (IST). Despite the fire, there were no casualties or injuries. However, the affected operations will be temporarily shut. The damage is estimated to be around ₹2.66 crores. The company has adequately insured the asset at the affected plant and has already intimated the insurance company. The insurance survey is expected to be conducted in due course.
