RSWM Ltd Receives Arbitration Award of Rs. 17 Crores from Arbitral Tribunal

RSWM Ltd has received an arbitration award on April 1, 2026, from the Arbitral Tribunal in the matter of payment of electricity power charges and interest receivable on Compulsory Convertible Debentures (CCDs) issued by LNJ Power Venture Limited. The award amounts to Rs. 17,67,58,854/- (Rupees Seventeen Crores Sixty- Seven Lakhs Fifty-Eight Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty-Four only) with interest @ 15%. The impact on the financial and operations are as under: 1. PPA matter: The Tribunal has awarded the aforementioned amount, but there will be no impact on the profitability as the provision for this liability has already been provided in the books of account. 2. Payment of interest on Compulsory Convertible Debentures (CCDs) matter: The Arbitral Tribunal has ordered that this is not payable by LNJPVL to the Company till the conditions precedent to the payment are satisfied. The outstanding interest receivable by the Company on the CCD is estimated to be around Rs. 29 crores as of 31.03.2026. The Company is in the process of undertaking detailed legal evaluation of the awards & currently exploring appropriate legal options.
