WeWork India Management Ltd Receives Order from Central Goods and Services Tax Regarding Tax Dispute

WeWork India Management Ltd has received an Order dated March 27, 2026 from the Office of the Principal Commissioner, Central Goods and Services Tax, Gurugram. The Order pertains to the period from April 2019 to March 2023 and has been issued under Section 74(9) of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, Haryana Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, read with Section 20 of the Integrated Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The Order demands recovery of ITC amounting to approximately ₹19.47 crores and imposes a penalty of the same amount. The Company intends to file an appeal against the Order before the Commissioner (Appeals), CGST Gurugram. The Company does not expect any material impact on its financials, operations, or other activities at this stage.
