Bank of Baroda's Timely Revocation of Debarment Order by Commissioner, DIF, Bhopal

Bank of Baroda received an email on 26.03.2026 for transfer of funds from a saving account maintained by MP Government to another account of the state government. However, there was a mismatch in the amount. Later, the branch received another email with a revised amount. On 27.03.2026, the branch received an email with an attached letter from the State Government Department for transferring of funds on the same day. After making necessary arrangements & approvals, the funds were remitted on the same day in different tranches to the beneficiary concerned. On the same day, the Commissioner, DIF, Bhopal advised debarment of Bank of Baroda for conducting government business. Bank’s Zonal authorities submitted a written representation to the state government department concerned narrating the facts of the case to revoke the order. Later, a letter was issued from Commissioner, DIF, Bhopal that the previous letter stands cancelled with immediate effect.
