Yatra Online Wins Major Tax Dispute: Rs.111.25 Crore Duty Demand Dropped

Yatra Online Ltd has won a significant tax dispute as the Customs, Excise & Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (CESTAT), Chandigarh, has set aside several tax demands previously raised by the Revenue Department. The Tribunal has dropped a total duty demand of approximately Rs.111.25 Crore and a penalty of approximately Rs.39.47 Crore for Yatra Online Limited. Additionally, TSI Yatra Pvt. Ltd. has had a duty demand of approximately Rs.1.99 Crore and a penalty of the same amount dropped. This order provides significant relief to the Company regarding long-standing tax litigations.
