Vakrangee Ltd Receives Demand Notice of Rs. 25,17,600/- from Office of the Assistant Commissioner of CGST & Central Excise, Mumbai

Vakrangee Ltd has received an Order dated March 30, 2026, from the Office of the Assistant Commissioner of CGST & Central Excise, Mumbai, raising a demand of Rs. 25,17,600/- in Maharashtra State. The demand is under Section 122(1)(ii) of the CGST Act, 2017 read with the similar provision under MGST Act, 2017 read with section 20 of the IGST Act, 2017 for the amount CGST – Rs. 12,58,800/- & SGST – Rs. 12,58,800/-. The Company believes that the demand is not maintainable and is in the process of filing an Appeal against the said Order. The demand is not expected to have a material impact on the financial, operational, or other activities of Vakrangee Limited.
