Bajaj Electricals Faces Rs 3.45 Crore GST Demand After Adverse Appeal Order

Bajaj Electricals Ltd. has received an adverse Appeal Order from the Office of the Commissioner (Appeals), Central Excise, Customs & CGST, Jaipur, under Section 107 of the CGST Act 2017. The order, received on April 6, 2026, raises an alleged gross demand of Rs. 3.45 crore, which includes a penalty amount of Rs. 31.53 lakh. The demand is due to an alleged short payment of tax on account of comparison of GSTR 1 with GSTR 3B of FY 2018-19. The management is evaluating legal options, including filing an appeal before the appropriate appellate tribunal and/or a writ petition before the Hon’ble High Court. The financial impact, if materializes, would be limited to the extent of the demand raised and penalty levied. The order does not impact the operational, financial, or other activities of the Company.
