IndiGo Revises Fuel Charges Due to Rising ATF Costs

InterGlobe Aviation Ltd, operating as IndiGo, has announced a revision in fuel charges for both domestic and international routes. The decision comes in response to a 130% increase in jet fuel prices on a month-on-month basis, as indicated by IATA’s Jet Fuel Monitor. The Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG) and Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) have agreed to pass only a 25% increase to airlines for domestic operations. IndiGo has recalibrated its domestic fuel charge to vary by different travel distances. For international operations, ATF prices have more than doubled, significantly impacting the airline’s operating costs. The new fuel charges will be applicable for all new bookings made after 0001 hrs on 02 April 2026.
