Syngene International Ltd. Receives Order from NFAC for AY 2016-17, Expected Refund of Rs.43,15,79,510

Syngene International Ltd. has received an order dated February 6, 2026, giving effect to the order passed by the National Faceless Appeal Centre (NFAC) for Assessment Year (AY) 2016-17. This order follows the Writ Petition filed before the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka and the order passed by the NFAC. The Company had filed an appeal on January 24, 2019, against disallowances and additions made in an order passed under Section 143(3) of the Act dated December 27, 2018. The NFAC has partially allowed the appeal. The Company believes there may not be a material impact on its financials, operations, or activities. However, there will be a decrease in contingent liability in relation to AY 2016-17. No penalty, restrictions, or sanctions have been imposed in the present order. The Company is in the process of analysing the order passed and will take appropriate action.
