Thermax Ltd Faces Penalty of Rs. 1.52 Crores from Custom Authorities

Thermax Limited has informed exchanges about the imposition of a penalty by custom authorities. The Company has received an assessment order passed by the Office of the Principal Commissioner of Customs, Ahmedabad on April 01, 2026. The penalty is demanded on account of customs duty & IGST against damage to plant and goods due to a fire incident in SEZ, Dahej in the year 2020. The Company will file an appeal challenging the said demand.
