EIH Associated Hotels Faces Rs 33 Lakh Penalty from GST Authorities

EIH Associated Hotels Ltd. has been levied a penalty of Rs 33,03,083/- under Section 74 of the Central Goods and Service Tax Act, 2017 by the GST Authorities, Jaipur. The penalty is in relation to ITC claim on Input Services for the Financial Years 2018-19 to 2022-23 for Trident Jaipur, a hotel of the Company. The order was received on 27th March 2026 at 6:34 P.M and the financial impact is to the extent of the penalty imposed. The company plans to take appropriate action within the statutory time limit.
