Allcargo Terminals Ltd to Expand Capacity by 0.12 Million TEUs in JNPT, Maharashtra

Allcargo Terminals Ltd has executed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to enter into a lease agreement for a 25-acre land parcel at Village Khopta, Uran Raigad, Maharashtra, for business/capacity expansion. The existing yard throughput capacity is 0.8 million TEUs per annum with 92% utilization as of August 2024. The proposed capacity addition is approximately 0.12 million TEUs. The investment required and period within which the proposed capacity is to be added are yet to be finalized. The rationale behind this expansion is to expand container handling, warehousing, and related operations in JNPT, subject to regulatory clearance.
