Gokaldas Exports to Acquire BRFL Textiles for Rs. 552 Crores

Gokaldas Exports Ltd (GEX) has approved the amalgamation of BRFL Textiles Pvt. Ltd (BTPL) at a board meeting. GEX had already made a strategic investment in BTPL in June 2024 and increased its shareholding to 19%. The amalgamation will bring in a significant manufacturer of a wide range of fabrics, creating a vertically integrated business. BTPL has total assets of Rs. 877.13 crore, a net worth of Rs. 147.57 crore, and a turnover of Rs. 371.42 crore for FY25. The draft scheme offers two alternatives to BTPL shareholders: either pure equity or cash plus equity in GEX.
