Jonjua Air Limited to Develop STOLports for Air Taxi Operations in North India
Dec 19 2024 | 6 months agoJonjua Overseas Limited, as a consultant, is assisting Jonjua Air Limited in the design and development of Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL) ports for its air taxi operations in the rugged and rocky terrain of remote and border areas in North India. The company has signed a Position Reservation Agreement with Piper Aircraft, Inc. for the supply of 2 Piper Archer DX aircrafts, which will be operated by Jonjua Air Limited. The following are the technical characteristics of Piper Archer DX aircrafts: Ground Roll: 919 ft | 280 m, Total Over 50 ft Obstacle: 1,673 ft| 510 m for takeoff and Ground Roll: 920 ft | 280 m, Total Over 50 ft Obstacle: 1,400 ft | 427 m for landing. Jonjua Overseas Limited has signed an agreement with Jonjua Air Limited for the development of STOLports. Major Harjinder Singh Jonjua, Retd., Managing Director of Jonjua Overseas Limited, is a military engineer with 40 years of experience in designing and developing STOLports in remote and border areas. He has filed a Patent for STOLport with a design length of 750 m along with Harmanpreet Singh Jonjua, Director of Jonjua Overseas Limited.
