Cal Water & Partners Bring Safe Water to Tulare County Residents

California Water Service (Cal Water), in partnership with the County of Tulare, the State of California’s Department of Water Resources (DWR), and Self-Help Enterprises, has successfully completed a project to provide safe, clean, and reliable drinking water to 27 customers in an underserved community along Harrison Road. The project, funded by over $1.3 million from the County’s American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) and DWR’s Small Community Drought Relief Program, involved extending Cal Water’s water main and installing 2,600 feet of new pipe. Additionally, five fire hydrants were installed to enhance fire protection in the area, addressing a critical need for residents whose wells had previously gone dry.
