KBR's PureSAF selected for Europe's largest SAF plant, 100,000 tons/year

KBR announced that NorSAF has selected its proprietary PureSAF® technology for what is set to become Northern Europe's largest sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and e-SAF production plant. The facility is expected to produce 100,000 tons of SAF and e-SAF annually, with production slated to begin in 2030. This project supports Europe's ambitious decarbonization goals, including the ReFuelEU Aviation Regulation's mandate for 6% SAF by 2030, progressively increasing to 70% by 2050. KBR's PureSAF process offers a scalable solution for SAF production, capable of co-processing CO2 and syngas.
