RenaissanceRe Holdings Ltd. reported a net income of $663.1 million for the second quarter of 2026, a decrease from $835.4 million in the prior year. Basic earnings per common share for the quarter were $15.54, down from $17.25. However, for the first six months of 2026, basic EPS increased to $22.03 from $20.37, driven by a significant reduction in net claims and claim expenses incurred, which fell to $1.93 billion from $3.79 billion year-over-year. Net investment income also saw an increase for both the quarter and the six-month period.
