Trex Diverts 5.5B Lbs Plastic, Recycles 1B Lbs Annually

Trex Company is highlighting its significant environmental impact in celebration of Earth Day and Arbor Day. Since its founding, the company has diverted over 5.5 billion pounds of waste polyethylene plastic film from landfills and waterways. Trex manufactures its high-performance deck boards using 95% recycled and reclaimed materials, giving new life to more than 1 billion pounds of plastic and wood scrap each year. Its NexTrex program, with over 10,000 partners, contributes to recycling over 370 million pounds of PE plastic annually.
