Ioneer Ltd announced it has received a conditional award from the U.S. Army for a long-term land lease at the Tooele Army Depot in Utah. This award is for establishing a critical mineral processing facility to secure a domestic boron supply chain. Ioneer is one of four companies selected for this initiative, which aims to strengthen national defense and domestic supply chains. Development is expected to commence in 2027, with initial operating capability targeted by 2028.

Ioneer Ltd announced it has secured strategic non-binding Letters of Intent (LOIs) with the Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND) and Hyundai Engineering Co. Ltd. These LOIs aim to advance the development of the Rhyolite Ridge Lithium-Boron Project, which holds significant strategic value for both the Republic of Korea and the United States. The company has invested over $220 million in the project and completed 70% of its advanced engineering work, targeting a Final Investment Decision in the second half of 2026 with first commercial production expected in 2029. The LOIs are non-binding and formal Memorandums of Understanding are expected in July 2026.

The Nevada District Court upheld the project's federal permit, and a federal permit was received for out-planting Tiehm’s buckwheat.

Ioneer Ltd reported a successful US$50 million equity raise from new and existing shareholders, strengthening its financial position for the Rhyolite Ridge Lithium-Boron Project. The U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada upheld the federal permit for the project, despite a subsequent appeal. The company is intensely focused on concluding its strategic partnering process by the end of the June quarter and advancing project readiness, alongside progressing organic growth initiatives.
