Methanex Q2 Net Income $198M, Record North American Production; Titan Plant Idled
Methanex reported strong Q2 2026 results with net income attributable to shareholders of $198 million and record Adjusted EBITDA of $577 million, driven by higher methanol pricing and robust North American production. The company announced the indefinite idling of its Titan plant in Trinidad, incurring a $115 million non-cash asset impairment charge and a $12 million restructuring accrual. Methanex generated $439 million in cash flows from operations, fully repaid its $290 million Term Loan A, and maintained a strong liquidity position with $383 million in cash. For Q3, the company anticipates lower Adjusted EBITDA due to an expected decrease in average realized price.
