
Bharat Coking Coal Ltd: Complaint Filed Against General Manager by DGMS in Connection with an Accident
Bharat Coking Coal Ltd has informed about a complaint case filed by the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS) before the Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dhanbad. The complaint, titled 'Govt of India vs. Raj Kumar, General Manager & Others', was filed in connection with an accident that occurred in Katras Area on 05.09.2025. The General Manager (Mining/Quality Control), Raj Kumar, who is a Senior Management Personnel of the Company, has been named as one of the alleged accused along with certain other officials of the Katras Area. The complaint includes alleged violations under relevant provisions of the Mines Act, 1952 (as amended) and the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020. The matter is currently listed before the Hon’ble Court on 25 March 2026 for appearance of the concerned officials. The Company is in the process of obtaining further details in the matter and will take appropriate steps in accordance with applicable laws.
