ACME Solar Commissions 155 MW/470 MWh Battery Energy Storage System Projects in Rajasthan
ACME Solar Holdings Ltd (ACME Solar) has commissioned additional 155 MW / 470.25 MWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Rajasthan. This brings the company's total commissioned BESS capacity to 297.67 MW / 951.74 MWh, with a total planned capacity of 835 MW / 3,114.64 MWh across various Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs). These BESS projects are connected with the existing operational Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) and will operate on a merchant basis, generating additional revenue through price differential between peak and non-peak demand hours. The BESS projects are designed to enhance grid reliability and optimise power utilisation by charging batteries during non-peak demand periods and discharging during peak demand periods, thereby improving overall grid stability.
