Adani Green Energy Surpasses 20 GW Operational Capacity
Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 20 gigawatts (GW) of operational renewable energy capacity, making it India's first and only renewable energy company to reach this mark predominantly through greenfield development. The company now generates over 52 billion units of clean electricity annually, contributing approximately 3% of India's electricity consumption. This expansion includes 14.2 GW of solar, 2.7 GW of wind, and 3.3 GW of wind-solar hybrid capacity, alongside 3.55 GWh of operational Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). AGEL aims to reach 50 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, with its Khavda project in Gujarat set to be the world's largest renewable energy plant.
