Amara Raja to Collaborate with Ather Energy for Development and Supply of Lithium-ion Cells for Two-Wheeler Battery Packs

Amara Raja Advanced Cell Technologies Private Limited (ARACT), a subsidiary of Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited (ARE&M), will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ather Energy. The collaboration aims to develop and supply NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) and LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) Lithium-ion cells for two-wheeler battery packs. Amara Raja recently entered into agreements with Gotion-InoBat-Batteries (GIB) for LFP technology and Jiangsu Highstar Battery Manufacturing Co. for NMC technology. The company is committed to providing products and solutions for e-mobility and energy storage markets and aims to be one of the largest manufacturers of Li-ion and other advanced chemistry cells in India.
