Apollo Micro Systems Secures Two DRDO Technology Transfers for Directed Energy Weapon Systems

Apollo Micro Systems Limited (AMS) has received approvals from the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) for two Transfers of Technology (ToT) in the domain of Directed Energy Weapon (DEW) systems. The ToTs include a Multi-Channel 10 kW Laser Directed Energy Weapon System from DRDO-CHESS, Hyderabad, and an EO Tracking System with EO Sensors for DEW from DRDO-IRDE, Dehradun. These technologies will enable Apollo Micro Systems to design, manufacture, and support critical DEW subsystems for defence applications, enhancing indigenous capability in advanced weapon systems. The company is currently developing critical Anti-Drone Systems under the ‘Make’ category for the Indian Armed Forces, and these DEW technologies will serve as an additional capability, complementing their ongoing development efforts.
