Ashok Leyland Ltd. to Invest in Wholly Owned Subsidiaries Vishwa Buses and Coaches Ltd and Ohm Global Mobility Private Limited

Ashok Leyland Ltd. has approved investments in its wholly owned subsidiaries, Vishwa Buses and Coaches Ltd (VBCL) and Ohm Global Mobility Private Limited (OHM). The company plans to invest up to Rs. 5.70 Crs in VBCL and up to Rs. 300 Crs in OHM, in one or more tranches. VBCL is into the business of Bus body and coach building with a revenue of Rs. 295.35 Crores as of March 31, 2025. OHM is into e-mobility as a service (EMAAS) and operates & maintains Electric Vehicles (Buses and Trucks) on pay per use model with a revenue of Rs. 50.37 Crores as of March 31, 2025. Both transactions are at arm’s length and are not expected to change the shareholding or control of the Company in the subsidiaries.
