Asian Paints Acquires Remaining 40% Stake in Obgenix Software for Rs. 188 Crores

Asian Paints Ltd. has acquired the balance 40% of the equity share capital of Obgenix Software Private Limited (White Teak) for a consideration of Rs. 188 crores. This acquisition makes White Teak a wholly owned subsidiary of Asian Paints. White Teak is in the business of decorative and architectural lighting products. The company has a history of last 3 years turnover of Rs. 108.51 crores in 2022-23, Rs. 133.43 crores in 2023-24, and Rs. 106.84 crores in 2024-25. However, the company reported a loss of Rs. (45.09) crores as of 31st March 2025 and has a negative net worth of Rs. (18.47) crores.
