AstraZeneca India Gets CDSCO Nod for Enhertu Breast Cancer Indication

AstraZeneca Pharma India Ltd has received approval from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) to import for sale and distribution of Trastuzumab Deruxtecan (Enhertu®) for an additional indication. This approval is for the neoadjuvant treatment of adult patients with HER2-positive Stage II or III breast cancer, when used in combination with trastuzumab and pertuzumab. The receipt of this permission allows for the marketing of Enhertu® in India for this specific indication, pending any further statutory approvals. This marks a significant step in expanding the therapeutic options for breast cancer patients in India.
