Aurobindo Pharma signs voluntary license agreement with MSD for HIV drug

Aurobindo Pharma Limited has entered into a non-exclusive voluntary licensing agreement with MSD (Merck & Co., Inc.) to manufacture and supply generic alimatravir. This royalty-free agreement covers 129 Low- & Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) that represent a significant portion of global HIV diagnoses. The agreement, signed before Phase 3 trial completion, aims to accelerate access to potential new HIV prevention therapies. Aurobindo Pharma, an integrated global pharmaceutical company, will supply the generic drug subject to regulatory approvals. This collaboration underscores Aurobindo's commitment to expanding access to affordable medicines.
